Luxman originated in Japan in the early days of radio and grew into a brand with a long tradition in amplification and source components. What defines the brand is its pursuit of a balanced, fluid presentation: power when it has to, finesse when it can—always with a pronounced sense of musicality.
For years, Luxman has developed its own circuits and solutions to minimize noise, distortion, and “harshness” without dissecting the music. A well-known example is ODNF (“Only Distortion Negative Feedback”), a Luxman principle that focuses on feeding back only distortion components for low distortion with liveliness.
In addition, the brand uses its LECUA volume control (in various generations), designed to maintain channel balance and sonic consistency even at low volumes.
In recent flagship models, they also introduced LIFES as the successor feedback engine within their amplifier platform.
